Unable to use or uninstall VLC player

Hi,

I can only use VLC player in safe mode. In other user profile, when I click the file to play, the privary and network policy appears for like a sec. and then disappers, it will not play the media file. I can play the file using the VLC player in my the other computer.

Can anyone tell me how I can uninstall it and re-install a working version.

What does happen when you start VLC uninstall?

when I tried to uninstall VLC either using the standard window add/remove software or the uninstall.exe in the VLC folder. The screen blink and then it just doesnt remove. Basically.. NOTHING happened.

What OS are you using? Are you trying to uninstall/re-install in save mode?

I am using Windox XP home edition, SP 2.

In safe mode,

Cannot uninstall
Can use it to play video.
Havent try to re-install

it is not good to use a player in safe mode (mode sans échec), it does not make for that.
(you can go to the (C 'proprieties' and choose 'tool' and choose two options : REPARE AND LOOK FOR ERRORS.)
In a normal use, whith all fonctions , OS must be whithout errors. In windows all the links are together so when something is wrong, it can be a virus or a hacker. RE-install windows or use tools against this problem :

thanks... I did reformat hard drive then reinstall.... the problem appears after I reinstall.. guess.. need to reinstall again.. thanks.. waassy
