No Dolby True-HD with 1.0.0RC2!!!

the changelog says that vlc can now play dolby true-hd. i tested it with various files in m2ts container, even the elementary stream and it doesn't work. did i miss something???

do you mean the m2ts or the true-hd elementary stream?

the video test file is about 180mb and the audio 18mb. tell me where to upload and i send it :)

i've uploaded a m2ts with true-hd audio. it's the dolby true-hd trailer, about 35mb. should be enough to test it guess.

tested now with 1.0.0rc3 and still doesn't work!!!

Well, yes, it doesn't work, but I can't extract correclty the trueHD track to see wher ethe issue is.

either use eac3to (win only) or tsmuxer (win/mac) to get the audio stream.

anyway... i've uploaded a true-hd audio file "test-dolby-truehd.thd" to the ftp

Tested, it seems those streams are part of a category of streams that we don't deal with correctly.
We have to fix it.

It sure don't appear fixed to me. How do I play a .m2ts file with trueHD audio and have it work?

Uh, are you sure this was not intended for the "VLC media player for Linux and friends Troubleshooting" forum?
