left side of video

Postby leftkidney » 30 May 2009 08:21

OK so all the videos that I play no matter what the video is (except for HD stuff like bluray rips or whatever) there is a line on the left side that is blurry looking and not to the edge of the screen no matter what I do unless I crop the pixels it is there even in DVD's that I play

whats up with this

the snapshot feature doesent capture this and I tried to take a pic but it wont come out properly

now this looks like it is in the source of the video but how could it be in every single DVD that I have and only on the left side - NO its not my display I tried it on my LCD and my Pioneer Elite Plasma witht eh same results, but on the Elite I can zoom it away by not using dot-by-dot mode and using Full instead but that softens the picture slightly

Have you tried to change video output module?

option does not exist - ver 0.9.6 - but it does this on all versions before and since as far as I can tell

I am using 0.9.6 still because of the dual display glitches in later ones and I like to have the on screen controls on my second display

but I have installed the latest build (0.9.9 I think) and it has the same problem on my Mac Mini - also if I open up the video files in Premiere Pro CS3 I can also see this, like it is in the source of all DVD's I own (like 300+ DVD's, makes no sense to me) but other media players seem to crop this out like Media Player Classic and WMP 11 as well as DVD players - my Oppo Digital DVD Player does show this if I set the options to dot-by-dot but normally it over scans by about 2% so it is not visible
