Excess code when ripping? (should i want for it to finish)

Postby ash_sak » 25 May 2009 14:29

When ripping videos using VLC it runs through the video length, say 40 miinutes for the sake of it.
Then it goes and runs another 5 minutes.
Then another few minutes.
etc.

And eventually it stops.

Should i wait for it all to finish ripping or can i just stop after the first 40 minutes?

(that might seem like a really stupid question but i was wondering if the 'extra' cycles was unnecessary coding or if it was necessary for the videos to play.

Thanks.

If you were not watching at the same time, you wouldn't have to wait for the first 40 minutes...
