VLC not play asx and m3u streaming

Previously I set back to default, after trying all possible settings.

In my case (Windows XP SP3, IE 6, VLC 1.0.0, corporate network with DMZ) it doesn't play http://www.microsoft.com/windows/produc ... e01_hi.asx.
But Windows Media Player does (after additional authorization - VLC doesn't show this pop window).
Any ideas how to solve this problem (VLC downgrade?)?

works fine in here with VLC 1.0.0, what popup you mean?

VLC works fine outside our corporate LAN (I checked it at home with a pure internet access).
This popup window asks for domain login name and password. It seems to be a problem why Windows Media Player has allowed this popup to appear but VLC hasn't. I'm checking it with our helpdesk.

Our IT doesn't know the reason of lack of connection of VLC through ISA 2004 server (in our DMZ). Outside DMZ VLC works fine. Would you like to see the trace of messages?
We tried to setup the VLC configuration with almost all options of suggested pattern: "http://[user@]myproxy.mydomain:myport/" but nothing was helpful.

There is HTTP Proxy option in Tools -> Preferences... (Show settings: All) Input/Codecs -> Access modules -> MMS, insert right proxy, press Save and restart VLC.

I put the right proxy link and got the message:

Are you sure that your proxy works with MMS?

M3u itselves has on every line a http link, for example when opening with simple texteditor(vim/notepad) it looks like this:

I think that in our case it is a problem with wrong cooperation VLC and proxy. What do you think?

VLC 1.0.5 (win32) on both XP SP3 and Vista
ISA 2006 on Server 2003 (also tried previously on ISA 2000 under Server 2003)

MRL: http://193.27.42.233/clyde1.mp3.m3u (Clyde 1 streaming radio - only available from the UK - yes, I'm in the UK)
Stream works fine in WMP11 after getting the popup for user/pass on the ISA Server

Strange that I had the same errors on ISA 2000 (on a different server), using VLC 0.8.6 tho...
