vlc 0.9.9a + jack (outputs & playback)

Postby c_cinq » 12 May 2009 05:59

how do make vlc 0.9.9a auto connect to jack and stay connected? vlc is using the jack driver. when vlc is playing, i have to use qjackctl to connect vlc outputs to the system playback. and after a track is played, vlc outputs and system playback are disconnected.

sout-keep only preserve the stream output chain across input items. You want to preserve the audio output, which should be automatic; there is no way to influence that other than changing the source code.
