VLC can't run DVD menus

Postby attorianzo » 08 May 2009 21:35

I have a DVD.
I have copied the VIDEO_TS folder of this DVD in my hard disk.
The menu of the DVD is contained in a very short VOB file named VIDEO_TS.VOB (80kb)
Due to the very short length of the file, I can't see the menu cause once I try to play this file, it immediately finishes (it last less than a second).
I'm not even so fast to push play than immediately push pause button to watch the menu.

How can I be able to see the menu?
It could be perfect, I think, if I could watch the small video playing it photogram by photogram..

Something doesn't click here - whether played from the DVD itself or from its files on a hard disk, a normal commercial DVD doesn't rush past the menu like that - it pauses at the menu and waits for you to make a choice It may play scenes from the movie or other stuff as background to the menu, and after some reasonable period it defaults to "Play" if you've made no choice yourself, but it always stops at the menu if the DVD has one at all.
