play list feature
hi all im sure this is in the wrong place but i didnt see were i should put it, is there a way to get vlc to recognize the ratings on music or videos i play in it and then with that in mind when randomly shuffling the play list have higher rater items play more often?

No, not by default. You might be able to create such a feature yourself with a LUA script but I don't know about that. Also note that many media players do not store track ratings in the ID3 tags of the files but in a separate database. So VLC might not be able to access these ratings.
