Stop music being imported in random order?

Hello forum!

I can't figure this one out, whenever I open several audio tracks with VLC it always shuffles their order so I have to select all -> right click -> arrange by name -> usually rearrange the first one that started playing cos that one changes track name upon opening...

All very laborious!

And I can't find anything in preferences nor online (tricky one to search for!)

Surely there's a simple answer,

It's a very annoying bug!!
Seems that vlc always starts with random order selected, even if disabled in preferences, ignoring the playlist's music order.
If I disable random and then load the playlist, it works fine.

Ah yes, I actually found a kind of work around: drag the containing folder into VLC and the tracks play in order.
