Windows 7, ac3, freeze

Postby deadball » 28 Apr 2009 21:56

Hey guys :)

If i try to play the ac3 sound from a video file, vlc hangs up. No reaction -> Kill via taskmanager.
All other audio streams are ok.
It doesnt matter what output module i use.

If i try the new 1.0pre2 ac3 does work. But stuttering. This is a problem i had before, but i solved it via "win32 waveout" and tick in/out float32. But the sound is still stuttering..

Windows 7 RC1 64bit
Asus p5w dh deluxe
realtek hd audio

Hopefully you have some ideas :)
Btw, i know it's a beta or a very new OS, but it will be used some time ;)

Best regards

You try to playback stand-alone AC3 files or ones inside video files?

This could be complicated, it's a live stream.
The recorded files are okay - just tested it. I provide you the protocol infos, maybe that will help?

It's a PES stream.

EDIT: WTF after i played the recorded file, live streaming works without problems

I'll restart and tell you later what happens :)
