video output folder

Postby il_pier » 29 Apr 2009 12:24

Hi all,

sorry for x-posting into this forum too, i am using windows version of VLC and i don't know if this issue is windows-specific or general.

I am using videolan to save jpeg frames using "image video output" module and it seems working fine except for the problem that i can't set the output folder of the generated jpeg frames, all them are saved into "C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC" and there is no configuration option into output modules where I can set a different folder.

Can somebody help me?

(cut & paste is not a valid solution because I am rescuing frames from damaged videos and this takes a lot of disk space, not available in C:\ drive)

Thank you.

You are correct. There isn't output path selection. If working directory method doesn't work, then my suggestion is that you use zipped VLC package and copy it to destination drive and start it from there.
