vlc live streaming - testing needed

Postby herlit11 » 24 Apr 2009 14:23

Hello everybody. I was wondering if anyone has access to a server already streaming live tv with vlc so i can point
my set top box and see if it works.

I have a few server on my Lan and vlc works fine, but when i try to stream to my set top box(Istar mini hd) i always get
a black screen. I understand that this forum is not about Istar, but i have been reading the docs at videolan that say that vlc
can work with set top boxes like Amino.

I was wondering if any of you has any experience with the Istar or PopCorn Hour and vlc.

Thanks a lot,regards
Hernan

Hi,

I can provide a live tv feed for you to test. It would be HDTV transcoded by VLC to MPEG-TS. Access would be via HTTP.

Is this what you are looking for?
