WinTv-HD & VLC

Postby Gust » 12 Dec 2004 15:33

Hi
Does anybody have experience using VLC to record transport stream (HD) using Hauppauge WINTV-HD card. I paid almost $500 for this card in 2001 and soon became obsolete. There is no support for it and no WDM driver. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Kamran
Are you persian? (off topic)
Thank you for reply. Please, explain more in detail about DESCALER, hardware descaler or s/w? How can I get it and if you know a site that I can read more about it? Thank you indeed and I do speak farsi.

Sorry, for my self. dScaler works for a lot of cards but not for mine. The above page indicated this."WinTV-HD, This Card Will Not Work With DScaler -- It Contains The Teralogic TL880 Chipset ."
anyone with experience with WinTV-HD and Linux please, share it me I will try to enhance it. thank you indeed.
