DVD menu loading very slow

[xerces8]

VLC 0.9.9 on Windows XP Pro SP3 32-bit

On one movie DVD, the loading takes very long (about one minute).

- I insert the DVD
- I select in VLC "Open Disc...", click "Play" in the dialog (the correct drive letter is selected by default)
- for one minute nothing happen
- then the DVD main menu appears

The messages window at verbosity 2 shows:

After that the DVD plays just fine.

Any idea ?
The same DVD works fine with other DVD player SW on same PC.

I would guess that this is dvdnav issue. And I think there isn't any way to solve this easily.
