DVR-MS problems, sound/video jagged and out of sync

Postby Exry » 12 Apr 2009 18:23

Hi all!

I'm unable to play .dvr-ms files recorded by Vista Media Center without the sound being jagged and out of sync. The sound is about 0,6 seconds before the video. And sometimes the sound jags and the video flicker as squares in the corners. Of course I can sync the sound with the video in VLC, but the jags and flickering are still there.

This problem makes me unable to enjoy any recorded media on any of my *nix boxes, as I'm unable to play them in windows media player or vista media center.

Any ideas of how I can play my recorded media without Windows? Until I buy a TV-tuner which is compatible with Linux...

Is your CPU peaking?

Might be a caching issue as well. ? just like with the 1080p files ?

Hi again.

No, my CPU is not peaking when I try to play this material.

How can I know if it's a cache issue? :)
