Subtitles broken? (microdvd?)

Postby MiT » 01 Jan 2004 21:19

I have some subtitles that works in 0.6.2 but not in 0.7.0-test2 (or test3)
I think they are microdvd subtitles, but I copudl be wrong. A line looks like this anyway.
{2962}{3059}- Hey! Stop, please!

I've tried with both auto and specific subtitle type.

OS: MacOS 10.3.2
CPU: 1 GHz G4 (powerbook)

Could you send them to hartman at videolan dot org please?
I'll try to take a look at them.

i'm not sure it is the problem here, but with 0.7.0, you have to enable subtitles by hand in the video menu after opening the file...

Nope, that's not the problem.
It seems however that the problem is the chosen fps-rate for microdvd subtitles. If set to default it will be something like 2.9 fps. Setting it to something more sensible, like 25 fps, will make them work.
