Help!VLC playing 264 over RTP

Postby VinX » 31 Mar 2009 15:52

Maybe there is something wrong when using VLC playing 264 over RTP. The picture is jerky (dithering).

1、the headend: I use a stream sever encapsulateing 264 file with RTP (rfc3984).
2、 Then the stream of 264 over RTP is multicasting to VLC. But the video on the VLC is jerky (dithering). VLC's problem?
3、 I use the VLC playing the 264 file directly, the picture is ok.
3、when I use the mplayer playing 264 over RTP, the video on mplayer is ok.
4、The 264 files are produced with X264. I produced many 264 files. But there is only one 264 file, when multicasting to VLC ,the video on VLC is OK.

Thanks!

Have you tried VLC nightly builds?

Thanks for your suggestion.

I have used the latest nightly builds "vlc-1.0.0-pre1-20090401-0028-win32.exe ". But the stream video is still jerky.

Any other solution?

Thanks!!!
