Xvid won't work on VLC
Xvid won't work on VLC
I've tried to run a few different Xvid files on VLC and the same thing always happens, there is no error message, but no sound or picture comes up and it plays 8 seconds of nothing. Xvid also doesn't work on Windows Media Player either, even after Xvid codec was installed.

Xvid should playback in VLC. What version of VLC are you using/what OS? Are the files AVI files with Xvid video/MP3 audio?

Newest version of VLC, Windows vista and both AVI and MPEG.
