VLC scale tempo audio issue with rate slider

Postby Treven » 22 Mar 2009 16:05

Running Ubuntu 8.10
Tried this with:
VLC 9.8a and a few previous versions

I have the scale tempo in sync option checked and it works when I use the faster/slower buttons, however when I use the rate slider at the bottom to go to rates that are not 1.5x or 2.0x (I believe 2.25x is alright as well) the audio gradually increases to that high chipmunk pitch. If I have the slider at 1.5x and 2.0x the audio keeps the pitch constant as it should.

This doesn't happen when I use vlc with windows xp. I am pretty new to Linux.

Where is this rate slider that you are speaking about?

I found it. You have to right click the text "1.00" to reveal it.
