Enabling auto-start for skinned VLC ?

I assigned a new (non-default skin) to VLC.

When I click now on an .AVI file then VLC starts but it does NOT automatically play the video as it does in Native" interface.
I have to click in addition on the "run" button.

As I found out this occurs in almost all skins.

Why?

Do I have to enable auto-play explicitely?
Or do Skins not support auto-play at start?
