Be gental, PC to TV question...

Postby rndthought » 28 Feb 2009 11:00

Hay, First, I have very little technical know how but...

Have enjoyed watching "files" on my PC for quite a while with the help of VLC...

Question... If I have a PC with lots of "files"... is there a solution to stream them to a TV (HDMI)?

I guess going to the computer firing up VLC and hitting play... then going to watch the content is an option. But even more bonus would be some sort of interface where I could have a remote where I could tell VLC to Pause, FF and RW.

Have a TVIX but want to skip the whole process (or maybe I need to learn how to use the TVIX as a network media streamer?)

Thank you and sorry for the completely "he has no idea what he's asking" question...

What does your TV understand as a format?
