Randomly Returns to Beginning of Movie

I love your product and have used it successfully in the past, but after re-installing it twice now it keeps randomly returning to the beginning of a movie I am trying to play. In Winsys I found this error reported:

2/26/2009 5:55 AM Application Error Faulting application vlc.exe, version 0.9.8.1, faulting module libvlccore.dll, version 0.9.8.1, fault address 0x00073fc7.


Other than that, my system does not report any errors and I am unsure if this is actually related to my problem or to Norton which gave me a warning message when I attempted to download a skins update from your site to fix the problem. I have to wonder if it is just he DVD I'm trying to play or what.... No matter, I posted this here in the hope that whatever the problem is it might help in your efforts if nothing else.
