Several little annoyances...

Hello

I love vlc, it's the best player! But there are some issues, which in the long run get VERY annoying!
First let me clarify I am only posting issues that I'm not expierencing on my systems with either wmp or wmp classic, just vlc.
Second, I realize it is possible that some of these issues may be fixed in the settings, but in that case I think it's just much too
complicated for the average user to find + get it right! Well here are my concerns:

. sometimes when i choose S/PDIF, playback jumps right back to stereo or 5.1 by itself (mostly after cutscenes) Also I can't seem to set set S/PDIF as default
. in two screen mode, if vlc is on screen #2, or also other situations, sometimes you cannot at all control vlc by right clicking it in the taskbar (= no right-click menu, very cumbersome handling)
. sound is preamplified way too much, there is no (easy?) way of setting this as standard
. in line with the above, every time a new file is opened, equalizer settings are reset!

PLUS:
. too many crashes with .mkv files
. many crashes when playing movie clips using the playlist

I'm sure many of these have been mentioned / adressed before, but just wanted to help!

Unfortunately. that does not really help. We already have too many bug reports and feature requests to handle. Only code helps.
