yes, settings->preferences->plugins->text renderer->freetype

How do I select font? I can't choose .ttf file types.

type in the filename then, it's not my fault windows have chosen to disable selection of ttf files.

Is it possible to add a shadow to the subtitle font?
im wondering that too. White is hard to see when there is a dark background.
