Changing Default Language

I have a movie with Dual language -----[English][Hindi][DUAL AUDIO] .Every time i open it in my PC it starts playing in english & i am able to change it to hindi from audio options .But i want to set hindi as default language every time it gets open Please suggest as soon as possible i am in urgent need of this .....

That is presumably to do with the file format/order of subtitles. What file format is the file?

OK, well in e.g. VirtualDubMod (find it here) you should be able to open the AVI file. Then go to "Streams >> Stream list" and move the subtitles track up/down accordingly. Press "OK". Ensure that "Video >> Direct Stream Copy" is selected, then go to "File >> Save As..." and save as a new AVI file.

Hopefully the subtitle order will have been changed and VLC will default to the other language.
