Problem in Vista

Postby Shivek » 26 Jan 2009 10:57

Every time I watch a movie in VLC, the movie appears washed out in Vista. For example, the credits of the movie should be black, it looks grayish, however, it looks fine in WMP11 with Vista Codec pack. But I want VLC to work fine in Vista! Help!

Oh, yeah, before I forget. I change the Output to DirectX and then the video looks fine but then the Aero effect goes away. How do I watch movie with the default Direct3D output so Aero effect stays and the movie looks fine?

If you have the problem with DirectX output, then Tools -> Preferences... (Show Settings: All) Video -> Output modules -> DirectX
VLC 1.0.0 will have better Direct3D output quality.
