FULLSCREEN CONTROLLER

I really would like to see a fullscreen video controller, currently for me, thios is the only thing that is letting VLC down for me (personally).

Can a pop-up be added such as this upon each time we move cursor to end of screen, I think a cool option to make the pop-up appear on the bottam or top or even from the sides in fullscreen.

It's planned for VLC but last I heard no one is really working on this right now. Hopefully it'll be ready in time for the final release version of VLC 0.9.0. Hopefully.

cloudstalker - I must say I really enjoy reading your 'QT4 Consolidation' thread I hope all ya highly creative and useful ideas make it into VLC furture versions.

I really have to reply and stress for a fullscreen controller to be implemented by VLC 9 final release. I am running the test version 9 of VLC svn; but when I view some home movies in Widescreen I don't want to have to rely on shortcut keys to manipulate video I rather enjoy doing it via navigation pop-up + mouse click just the same as like in other WMP, media player classic and others.. VLC is remarkable software, I badly want this

J-b or any of the other dev's add this to a todo list, shouldn't this feature have been in there since the start?

AS i first mentioned the controller can have a different visual look to distinguish itself from 'other' media players, a pop -up on the top corner of the screen would be new as I have never seen that before, the standard playbak buttons would pop-up with a seek bar. Also some options to specify a delay in the pop-up and also to turn it off completely - just my idea that is all- sorry 4 long sentence

I did not know this feature was already on MAC why is Windows lackin, if I could code and had knowledge of QT or whatever I would...

.... anything for this to make version 0.9, I have the svn still to 0.9 and find it impressive on the main QT UI and usability

I register this forum only to ask the same thing. I'd like to be able to scan a movie in full-screen mode.
That's the only reason why I still have MPC installed my pc, the feature of pointing the cursor on the bottom of the screen to make appear a controller is a very usefull indeed. Would be great if you implement it to VLC as well.

Well there's an alternate to that for the moment. Go to Preferences -> Interface -> (enable) show interface with mouse, save an restart VLC. Although this is not a real full screen controller it'll do until this feature comes.

In SVN builds or what?
I don't get it to work, it is ticked in options, VLC was restarted and I moved my mouse to any edge of screen - it won't work.

Have you tried to reset VLC settings?
