atsc tuning failed

Postby barryguns » 13 Jan 2009 20:16

Hi there, I searched this forum and it seems like changing dvb-t for atsc in the mrl should work for tuning ATSC.
In fact my WinTV-HVR 950 seems to be recognized by VLC with the change above but I'm still unable to tune as the following log shows:

Code: Select all

I tried three different channels available in my area both in Hz and in kHz with a similar error log. Also, I set bandwidth to 6 MHz with the same results.

I'm using VLC 0.9.8a

Am I missing additional parameters?
Should I enter the channel frequency in kHz?
Is bandwidth parameter required for ATSC?

Thanks for adding DVB/ATSC support to VLC!

atsc is disabled in vlc 0.9.8 but is now working in vlc 1.0
try using a nightly build

It seems it's not enabled completely. This is with 1.0.0-git-20090113-005:
