How to add an old module to the new VLC version?

How to add an old module to the new VLC version?

Postby netfirstman » 11 Jan 2009 14:20

Hi,all.
There is a question about the source code.
I find that there are a lot of difference between vlc-0.8.5 and vlc-0.9.8a.For example, the files, data structure, defines.I want to add a video filter, but the filter writed on vlc-0.8.5. Whether I will rewrite it? How can I find some documents about the records of change.

Well, it depends, but I think that most of the video filter interfacing hasn't changed.

As with most projects, there is no documentation on the internal API changes, other than the commit history.
