hdhomerun mpg capture doesn't play

Postby climbgunks » 08 Jan 2009 04:40

I've recently setup a Silicon Dust HDHomerun device on my network and it appears to work great. That is, I can watch and record live TV. Currently, I am doing so through ArcSoft's TotalMedia on Windows XP.

However, while the recorded files may be played back through Windows Media Player, VLC plays neither audio nor video. I moved one of the sample files to my Linux machine, and the file plays under mplayer... but again not under VLC on that machine.

I've placed the file in ftp://streams.videolan.org/incoming/climbgunks.mpg

I'd appreciate any help in getting this to play under VLC.

Thank you,
Todd

Here is the output from Linux VLC

Also don't forget to name your Operating System and provide the VLC media player version.
