Increase buffer size

Postby mururoa » 06 Jan 2009 21:42

Hi,
I'm playing video files from a slow nas and each about 5/10 min I loose some frames.
This is a nas speed problem, when too busy, from time to time, it can't output the data fast enough.
How can I increase buffer size so I have around 1 sec of video in the buffer ?
I searched in docs, faq and options but it's not clear for me.

Tks, gonna see if that solve my problem. Anyway it's the option I was searching for.
This option was so hidden that I cant even see it with vlc --longhelp. It needs vlc --longhelp --advanced !
