System Tray Meter

Hi,
I have a suggestion to make a few audio visualisations for the System Tray (where applicable).
For example, having a simple icon that can specify dB of left/right channel on a small icon with levels - sorry it's hard to explain.
Or small VU meters.
And possibly just for some effects but not to waste precious space, it could be overlayed on the vlc logo instead of simply having extra icons.

I've looked into it but seems to hard for me to do, however in theory it should be simple.

Overlaying the stuff to over VLC logo wouldn't look very neat, because system tray icons have very low resolution so there isn't much space to graph information. Also having multiple system tray icons for one software at the same time seems confusing to me. So my suggestion would be replacing the VLC logo if you have to show some info in system tray.
