Curious thing about subtitles

Postby schnorginator » 28 Dec 2008 22:20

I have a bunch of videos with matching srt files. I noticed that the quality of the subtitles isn't very good when compared to playing them with media player classic with directvobsub. They have a jagged appearance.

However one of the videos is a 720p mkv file and when i play that the subtitles look great. Very sharp. Why is that? Does it have anything to do with it being an mkv file?

Edit: And it's not just the subtitles but also the progress bar when i skip forward or back and the play/pause icon when i play or pause it.

Try to change video output module.
