Strange video quality

Postby Manny » 29 Dec 2008 13:58

Hi, i have a strange problem with VLC since yesterday (format and installation of Vista 64 from Vista 32).
I've allways used VLC to see my videos, but now i see videos in a really "strange" way.. two screen to let you see the difference:

VLC

Mediaplayer

As you can see mediaplayer show the movie a lot better :-|

The main difference i think is that mediaplayer use the FFDShow codec and VLC use it's own codec, even if i've selected the option that tell VLC to prefer the codec installed in the OS.

I don't really want to use mediaplayer... any idea to solve the problem?

Change video output module to DirectX3D.
I would advise you to reset VLC preferneces and cache.
