Open Axis Webcam Stream with ActiveX Plugin

Postby kr0k0f4nt » 16 Nov 2008 13:45

Hello everybody,

I am facing a strange problem with the use of the ActiveX Plugin of VLC 0.9.6. I want to show a motion JPG stream within a Webpage using the VLC Plugin but it wont work. The streaming URL I want to open is this:
And it works absolutly fine then I am using the ordinary Windows VLC Player. It takes a second or two and the picture is there. But not so in the ActiveX one or even the Mozilla Plugin.

Checkout this ActiveX Test-Webpage:
http://people.videolan.org/~damienf/plugin-0.8.6.html

If I am going to insert the the streaming URL there and press on okay, I will receive an Error Message:
open of 'http://lv.raad.tartu.ee:10001/axis-cgi/ ... on=320x240' failed: could not create access
Everything else, like even displaying a local Video feedback via DirectShow works quite fine. But this is something, I don't get.

Please help me on this on here, anyone got an idea?

0.9.6 plugins http access is broken, so just upgrade to 0.9.8

you can also use AXIS SWF feature : http://3chameaux.dyndns.org/axis-cgi/mj ... on=240x180
