VLC as RTSP server Problem

Postby booke42 » 08 Dec 2008 07:24

Hi,

I want to use VLC as the RTSP server for my STB. However, I am not able to make it work because it is not responding to the first request from the STB (GET_PARAMETER). When I connect to VLC manaually to do an "OPTIONS" command, I get these:

RTSP/1.0 200 Ok
Cseq: 0
Server: VLC Server
Public: DESCRIBE, SETUP, TEARDOWN, PLAY, PAUSE
Content-Length: 0

So GET_PARAMETER is not supported I guess. Is there a way to enable GET_PARAMETER in VLC? I have tried both 0.86d and 0.86i versions.

Thanks.

William

No, this is not implemented in 0.8.6.
