Displaying a DVD on an LCD projector

Postby englishteacher » 08 Dec 2008 02:38

I am no computer expert as most of the people on this forum seem to be; I am simply a high school English teacher trying to show a DVD on an LCD projector for my Film as Literature class. My problem is that the film plays fine on the laptop screen, but does not show up on the big screen through the LCD projector. The VLC window shows up, all of the menus show up, but not the film itself. Is there a setting I need to change? The laptop is a Dell Latitude D600 running Windows XP; the LCD projector is an Epson PowerLite 77c; and the VLC version is (I think) 0.8.6f Janus (wxWidgets interface). I would greatly appreciate any help anyone can give me.

Thanks, j-b! It worked like a charm.
