Newbie to VLC

I'm new on this list, so I'm probably going to stumble around a bit before I get my bearings.

Basically, I have a usage question that goes like this:


I want to put the following on a CD-ROM for distribution to my friends,
AFAIK all of whom are Windows users:

[1] A copy of VideoLan for Windows. Right now I'm using v0.9.6 Grishenko.
[2] A .flv movie in several parts.
[3] A playlist.
[4] Anything else that might be necessary to make this disk work as
explained below.

I want the user to be able to simply put the disk in his computer, hit
"Play" (or equivalent) and the movie is played, all segments in order.

[1] Is this possible?
[2] If so, how do I do it?
[3] Although this is not terribly important, would it be possible to allow
the user to interrupt the movie, remove the disk and reinsert it at a later
time, and resume playing the movie at the point of interruption?
