Mouse Gestures Problem / VLC 0.9.6

I just upgraded my VLC version from 0.8.6f to 0.9.6, and everything is awesome except for the Mouse Gestures... which doesn't seem to work anymore.

I did a clean install (removed preferences from the previous VLC version), then went to Tools / Preferences (All settings), Interface, then 'Control interfaces' and checked the "Mouse gestures control interface", set the trigger button to Left and motion threshold to 30. Restarted VLC, opened my freebox playlist, and nothing. No gesture seems to be working.

This is a rather big problem for me, as I browse through my freebox TV channel playlist with my wireless mouse... so without this feature I'll have to stick to a previous version of VLC (0.8.6f) where this works. Just reinstalled VLC 0.8.6f and mouse gestures are working fine.

Hope there is a solution / bug-fix to this issue. Thanks.

Are the gestures loaded (messages windows, second tab)?

Yep, the gestures seem to be loaded, and after adding the verbosity level at 2 in the Messages tab, I've seen that the gestures are working, and logging allright :

Bth, both actions ("Go forward in the movie!" & "Go backward in the movie!") have absolutely no action (!!??), I've tried with different file types: .avi, .mpg & .mp4.

Anyways, after a quick glance on the wiki page http://wiki.videolan.org/Mouse_Gestures I've seen that mouse gestures have changed between versions 0.8.x and 0.9.x versions (should have read that first probably). To go previous / next in the playlist it was left / right gestures, and now it's "left-down" & "right-down".

Is there a way to configure which gestures does what ? I'd like to have "left/right" map to "previous/next in the playlist". I've tried to replace the "libgestures_plugin.dll" with the 0.8.6 one, but they're not compatible anymore:

That's a pitty, it would be nice to be able to configure actions for each gesture.
