RTSP Telnet problems (pause, start time etc.)

Hi

I have some questions about RTSP and VLCs telnet interface.

1. How can I specify the start time option with the telnet command “play”? (Note: telnet not console startup)

2. When I start VLC with --start-time (or use the seek command) the player sends the “play” command 2 to 3 times. The server gives a 501 as response to this. Why is this? I see the same behavior with pause but that doesn't crash the server.
