Help playing DVB-S

Postby flanagann » 11 Nov 2008 19:38

Hi! I'm trying to play DVB-S channels with VLC but I'm having some problems.

Data from a DVB-S channel:
Frec: 12109000
Polarization: H
FEC: 3/4
Symbolrate: 27500000
PIDS - VIDEO 2901 - PCR 2901 - PMT 2800 - TeleText 2904
PIDS - AUDIO 2902 and 2903

I set frecuency and symbolrate values but I cannot play the channel. It plays perfectly in other DVB-S programs, so it must be some other advanced options I need to configure. Do I need to configure eache Satellite option (height, azimut...)??

I also tried via command line with the same results.

Any help is appreciated

Try like this:
set :dvb-polarisation as "H" or "V"
and rate 27500 (not 27500000)
vlc.exe dvb-s:// :dvb-frequency=12109000 :dvb-polarisation="V" :dvb-srate=27500

Still not working :?

Did you get yours working?
