I work with VLC as with iniversal supported all 32 bit Windows, but now last version with support all Windows is 0.8.6 But for 2000/XP... better Video Player is Crystal Player

Win95 doesn't have any Unicode support.
Win95 is a 13-year old OS. Deal with it...

Win95 doesn't have any Unicode support.
Win95 is a 13-year old OS. Deal with it...
In 2001 Microsoft update old OS with Microsoft Layer for Unicode, MSLU for support unicode in old OS - unicows.dll. -
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/defau ... h_mslu.asp

And with libwxwidgets_plugin.dll from v0.8.6d VLC run OK under Win95! Just need only fix libwxwidgets_plugin.dll in VLC v0.8.6i...

It works the same with 0.8.6i...

Either you provide help to maintain the port, or your will be ignored. Sorry.

OK! Earlier I send next error mesage to gbazin_videolan.org:

Hello, Gildas!

I found 3 bugs in VLC 0.8.6i:

1. Under Windows 95 OSR2 (original-rus) VLC run not correctly with error mesage - Failed to create a status bar - Error 120. (with libwxwidgets_plugin.dll from v0.8.6d work OK)

2. If I run VLC with *.avi in windows mode (not maximaze, not fullscreen) under Windows NT4 SP6a and try to move VLC window to another place of screen - *.avi show at old place and do not move to another place of screen! But if I create clon of *.avi and try replace clonning windows - this windows move OK! Please fix this problem! Video adapter is ASUS V7100 Series v6.49a - NVIDIA - GeForce2 MX - 32 Mb - AGP

3. Under all Windows VLC often don`t show progress slider on next video file until I maximaze on screen (not full screen) and minimaze to windows mode on next file - ext. interface always set as on (Ctrl+G).

Please fix this problems!

Support for 0.8.6 has been discontinued few months ago. You have to find someone else to fix these.
