stream info issue

it seems that streaming audio (from internet radio for example) does not update the song that is playing in the area of vlc where this information is usually shown. If I press pause and play, then the artist/song name is updated but otherwise it just stays on the first song that is streamed and does not change. I know this was the the case for vlc 0.9.4 but it still does the same thing in the 0.9.6 version.
