It depends, on:

* the fact that you use Multicast or not,
* the fact that you transcode or not,
* the fact that you use one card or multiple card for DVB

Therefore, there is no easy answer.

3. i want to place ready 5 or more tv-channels over 1 lan, i think i can use only 5 cards in one pc there is not more place
so havn't experience with the vls or vlc as server, so i don't know exactly that i need, that is the question!

1. You multicast, great, 1Gb will be enough. Even 100Mbit.
2. then you need some CPU because transcoding 5 channels at a time is not that easy.
3. Are some channels on the same transponder?

Do yourself a favor, don't use Windows.

Hi

thank for that

why i need transcode, i think to distribute in the same size and dissolution, i need it not?
and if i need it, how much cpu power i need? core 2 duo or xenon or waht?

the most channels are on diffrent transponder, so i need smoe cards, right?
if are some channels on one transponder how much channels i can distribute, 2 or 3 or all on this transponder?

i hate windows, so if i can use linux, i do it :-)
