getting 5.1 sound thru motu 828mkII

Hi there,

I have my firewire 828mkII plugged in but I don't see it as an option under audio device. I do see it as an option when it is plugged into my mac. Can it be a device option in windows and if so is it possible to get into vlc and set it up to play the 5.1 channels of a movie thru 6 outputs on the motu?

WDM/ASIO/GSIF/Core Audio

Some WDM devices don't provide required waveout options, so they don't work with VLC. (same thing with certain Pro Tools devices)

You might try port audio output, but at least in my test, that didn't help. (I haven't tested with motu 828mkII)
