I had KMPlayer before and I was surprised to see that VLC doesn't have these best practices from KMPlayer:
1 - shuffle and repeat all options are recorded for the next time the player is opened,
2 - full screen is real full screen,
3 - when changing between fullscreen and windowd mode the player position is recorded (and not set to superior left corner as in VLC).
Furthermore, I would like to suggest that the user can right click a folder and select "play in VLC"
