Install FFmepg.

The usual practice is to install the .pc in ${prefix}/lib/pkgconfig and not in ${prefix}/lib/
So either your distro is not coherent or you install by hand and you need to tell pkg-config where the .pc are.

In any case setting PKG_CONFIG_PATH is should do it.

Also you should avoid compiling as root.

I used CentOS and installed everything using yum. However I am unable to stream it live from my pc to the server and the view it from a third machice.
