Uhm WHERE are the settings at for the player?

Postby Sseadoubleyou » 09 Oct 2008 22:38

This might sound like a really stupid question but I have to admit, this program has always left me stumped! It seems extremely complicated to use and very UN-user friendly. I'm posting because I had to do a restore on my system and reinstall the OS, etc. I'm all back up and I installed VLC today, set the main interface to skinnable, applied my skin, ok that works great! Now I just can't seem to find out where the settings are for the program. Usually I could just right click anywhere on the player and a huge menu would pop up, I would scroll down and select settings (or something like that) and it would open up a window with all the regular setting options that all programs have. I can't seem to get there this time around. Can someone help me out here?

Thanks.

In skin mode (using the latest version) I had no options as the ones you described. The only thing I could do is right click anywhere on the player and would only get options like pause, play, stop, rewind, etc. So I downgraded back to 0.8.6

If your skins doesn't have Preferences button, you can't access preferences. You can however change to default skin, it has Preferences button, change settings and then change back to your skins.
