picking a specific audio track for uploading to youtube

Postby PRprince305 » 10 Oct 2008 08:02

I have a .mkv file i downloaded from
http://www.freewebs.com/anime-stop/neon ... gelion.htm
(the first episode)

it has a default audio track of japanese, and another track of english, aswell as some non-default subtitles (which i am not interested in ,and would take off if i could)

anyways, what do i need, and how do i take off the 1st default track of japanese.

what i want to do is upload the video in english (the second audio track in list) to youtube, without any subtitles (which dont show up automatically anyways)

disclaimer: i dont know pretty much anything so im, a complete noob to this all.

for any tough questions about the file in question, i provided the page where i got the video, its the first episode on the list.

plz help me out, i intend on uploading the entire series to youtube (in english) since the series is mostly only found in japanese, and its extremly rare finding it uploaded in english.

also, (and this is another problem that can wait) i also wish to to be able to convert the (mkv) series into a format that i could copy as data to a cd or dataDVD and play on my dvd player as i do with avi/divx format files , inwhich i put like 4gigs of avi movies to a dataDVD and play on my dvd player.

so the question would be can i convert a mkv to a avi format? and if so how and with what free program(s)
avi/ or any other format that could be read by my dvd player.
