How to hide lower button control panel?

I realized a change in the GUI from v0.8.x to 0.9.x

When I play now video then on the lower part there are several button control.
How can I hide them ?
Ok, the slider can (should) remain.

You can only hide the whole thing completely (I assume you mean full screen controller).

my control panel seems to have been moved offscreen and i cant find it! is there a registry setting for its location? or some way to get it back.
